PLANILUX
A new standard in clear glass
SGG Planilux is available in an extensive range of thickness suitable for a wide variety of applications. It can be toughened or laminated for safety benefits or silvered to produce mirrors. It is also suitable for screen printing, acid etching, decoration, sand blasting, lacquering or edgeworking etc.
Over the past few years the glass and glazing industry has witnessed a growing trend towards clearer float glass substrates. This demand is being driven by the need for a more neutral appearance in both the architectural applications and the Interior glass application.
SGG Planilux helps to increase the level of natural daylight and reduces the need for artificial lighting – creating a more comfortable environment.
The lower iron content of SGG Planilux reduces the level of green colouring so that the appearance is clearer and more neutral. This difference is particularly noticeable when viewing the edge of the glass.

SGG Planilux can be used in applications where strong levels of clarity and neutrality are required including:
- Windows and Doors
- Mirrors
- Laminated safety glass
- Interior applications
- Glass facades
- Partitions

DIAMANT
Highly transparent extra clear glass, which has very little residual colour
DIAMANT is a unique extra clear glass which is valued for its attractive appearance and optical qualities.
The low iron content produces a higher light transmittance and a reduced green tint inherent of ordinary glass.
DIAMANT therefore offers a solution for multiple applications and markets where an extra degree of clarity and transparency is required.
Applications:
DIAMANT is suited for numerous applications that require high transparency, clear aesthetics and optical brilliance:
INTERIOR DESIGN OR DECORATING
DIAMANT is an excellent base glass when applying white or coloured decoration by screen print, SERALIT EVOLUTION, for use in partition walls, doors, shower cabinets and insulating glass.
As a non-transparent cladding element, DIAMANT can also be coated ( PLANILAQUE EVOLUTION and EMALIT EVOLUTION) or back-painted ( DIAMANT is the base glass used in the VITRIO range of back-painted products for multiple applications).
FURNITURE
DIAMANT is particularly stunning in table tops, office desks or shop counters requiring thick glass with colourless edges.
SHOP WINDOWS AND DISPLAY CABINETS
DIAMANT can be used to produce a laminated safety glass ( STADIP PROTECT) with very little colour difference – even in extreme thicknesses.
DIAMANT can also be used to produce anti-reflective safety glazing ( VISION-LITE), which allows the objects to be displayed with the added security of laminated glass and viewed with reduced reflection.
SPECIAL APPLICATIONS
Due to its higher level of UV transmittance compared to that of clear float glass DIAMANT is perfectly suited to applications requiring this property such as solar panels, photovoltaic, glass casing for medical measuring equipment and horticulture.
WINDOW ENERGY RATINGS
The higher solar transmittance of DIAMANT is ideal for use in sealed units particularly in the context of Window Energy Ratings when combined with PLANITHERM TOTAL+.

PARSOL
PARSOL is a body-tinted glass
PARSOL has a coloured appearance, as well as basic solar control properties.
There are 3 colours in the PARSOL range:
- PARSOL GREEN
- PARSOL BRONZE
- PARSOL GREY
PARSOL products are available in a range of thicknesses, from 3mm to 12mm, depending on the colour.
PARSOL, like PLANICLEAR, is intended for universal applications where an attractive appearance or basic solar control properties are required:
- Interior applications for decoration, fittings and furniture.
- External applications in single or double-glazing, for facades and overhead glazing
PARSOL provides additional solar control to reduce the burden on air-conditioning through the warmer months and also provides different aesthetics in terms of colour.
